Description
Roadhouse USA:
1989 Peavey Vandenberg Signature 2 in Raspberry Pearl W/OHSC.
Another cool rarity, a Peavey Vandenberg S2 in what was the best of these colors; Raspberry Pearl.
Excellent condition for its age, it shows a couple of minor paint dings that you can see in the pictures.
The neck is excellent and it plays great. Very minimal fret wear.
It is original other than the bridge pickup appears to have been changed to a Duncan of some type, although I have not pulled it to see which model.
The guitar sounds great and it is certainly a looker:)
Comes with original Peavey hard case as pictured.
These Vandy’s are getting hard to find in decent shape, especially in the more desirable colors. Grab this one while you can!
General info:
The Peavey Vandenberg Signature 2 guitar differs from the first edition in that it has a slightly thicker body, thicker headstock, a shallower lower-fiddle-cut, a thicker neck and a different Kahler tremolo, namely the Kahler 2730 “Spyder”trem
The second edition also feature a few more additional color options besides the three colors of the first edition: Pearl White, ’62 Blue, Laser Red and Raspberry Pearl (all which have a hint of metallic). All the other features are just like the Peavey Vandenberg Signature .It has a slightly arched top and “fiddle cuts” in the body. The lower cutaway also has an extra scooped cutaway for reaching the highest fret. The scale of the bolt-on neck is 24.75 inch (just like a Les Paul). The headstock is reversed and has a 3 degree tilt and matches the color of the body. The pickups have an HS configuration with an Alnico bridge humbucker and an Alnico neck single coil with medium/high output both by Peavey. The pickups are both placed at a 2-4 degree angle (parallell with the body’s bottom) to eliminate the string spacing problem when Gibson pickups are combined with Fender spaced tremolos.
