This beauty has barely been played and is in like new condition with one exception:
There was a pin-point ding in the center of the headstock. Barely noticeable, not a big deal. An imbecile without the ability to repair a simple finish flaw tried to ‘fix’ it and it has turned into a scuff on the face of the headstock. I have no doubt a luthier who actually knows what they are doing could polish this up and have it looking perfect with very little effort. For now, it just looks a bit cloudy on the face of the headstock. Take a look at the pics. From some angles you can’t see much of anything, thats how minor it is. If you shine a bright light directly on it, you can see the scuff.
Its got a bit of a ‘peek a boo’ flame top. From some angles, in some lighting, you can see a very nice flame and from others, not as much. Very typical for these R9’s.
So, you decide. If it bothers you, don’t buy the guitar. If you want an awesome R9 in a killer Dirty Lemon finish (one of my favorites) at a nice price, then this is a great buy.
No other issues at all with the guitar. I plays great and shows no wear other than the headstock scuff.
