Description

Roadhouse USA location:

1975 Guild USA F40 BLD Acoustic Guitar with case.

This guitar is a great example of Guild craftsmanship from the 1970’s. Tone for days, this one is a player!

There is a hairline seam crack in the top and the guitar is priced accordingly. You will also find finish checking in various places over much of the guitar but everything with this F40 is stable and the neck is great. I do not see any evidence of a reset and it plays and sounds very nice now.

Take a look at all the pics, I showed everything that I possibly could and for the most part, other than the seam crack, finish checking is about all you will find on this beauty.

Overall, it is not perfect, but most from this era are not. This is one that I will probably regret selling because these USA made 70’s Guilds are getting harder and harder to find, and despite the various imperfections, this one is a sleeper, especially for the price.  You simply cannot do any better for a USA made jumbo Guild like this for the money and it will eat up any Gibson from this era side by side:)

Comes as pictured with a nice, soft-sided hard Gator case.

Body: Bound jumbo body composed of a solid spruce top, arched maple back and maple sides. Multi-ring rosette. Single ply black pickguard. Rosewood bridge.

Neck: Three-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck with medium round profile. Bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Grover tuning machines. 1-11/16” nut width.
