1977 Vintage Kramer USA Aluminum Neck Bass XL/XK Series Prototype Guitar.
This one is beyond cool and beyond rare.
While it is obviously an Aluminum Neck Kramer bass (serial # appears to make it from 1977) it is a model that we have never seen before and did not even know existed.
It is similar to both the XL or XK Series of Aluminum neck Kramers, but part of neither according to all the info I can find. I have not ever seen anything even close to this body shape….until now. Definitely factory, it is possible it is a prototype or that they simply made 1 or 2 of them, but in any case, it is a rare-bird.
This guitar was rock star owned and we were lucky enough to get it as part of a trade.
Bass is in incredible shape for its age, everything works on it and it actually has either Passive OR Active electronics!
Comes as pictured with original Kramer hard case that fits it perfectly.
If you are a collector, it doesnt get much better than this!
