Very cool, vintage Ibanez PGM300, made in the Fuji-gen factory in Japan.
Super quality, this is a very nice example in all original condition.
Hand signed by Paul Gilbert on the back plate. The original owner had it done at a meet and greet.
Comes as pictured with original Ibanez pink interior hard case.
Great piece of Ibanez history and in exception shape for a 30-year old guitar.
The PGM300 is a PGM series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1991. It is a signature model of American guitarist Paul Gilbert.
Noteworthy features include a basswood body, a Wizard neck with maple fingerboard and reversed headstock, DiMarzio pickups and a double locking tremolo bridge. Budget models aside, it is the second and last PGM introduced with such tremolo, after the PGM100. Like most PGMs, it also features Paul Gilbert’s signature painted F-holes.
Paul Gilbert himself famously converted his PGM300 into a hard-tail by replacing the tremolo with a fixed bridge. In 2003, a production version of this guitar was introduced as the PGM301. The original PGM300 was discontinued after 2004. It still is the PGM with the longest production run.
In 2009, it was reissued as the PGM300RE in honor of the 20th anniversary of the PGM series. It was chosen by popular vote on the Ibanez website.
