2013 Fender Limited Edition “Beggars Banquet” Telecaster number 199 of 300, serial number MX13390073. This standard model Telecaster was a limited edition of only 300 guitars built to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Rolling Stones 1968 album Beggars Banquet. The guitar features the original graffiti “toilet cover” artwork that the record companies refused to release, deeming it too offensive. The back of the guitar shows the famous feast image shot by photographer Michael Joseph. The guitar neck plate is numbered 199 with the ABKCO record company name. With original Rolling Stones branded packaging.
Initially banned “bathroom wall” album cover art adorns the front of the guitar.
Charmingly decadent “banquet” imagery from the album’s inner gatefold adorns the back.
A laser-etched neck plate shows each instrument’s limited edition number. This one is #199.
