AWESOME Original Peavey 5150 100 Watt Head in custom Red Snakeskin!
This amp has been highly customized COSMETICALLY ONLY.
The guts are still original, well other than the tubes are new, the circuits have not been messed with.
Somebody just had some fun and re-did the head in a very cool red snakeskin tolex. I have no idea who did the work, but it looks killer. As you can see, the grills and the knobs were also replaced with a matching brass/copper type color and the 5150 logo was redone with what appears to be numbers for the outside of a house! Someone got pretty creative on this amp.
If that isnt enough, they put LED lights on the inside that change colors as you can see by the pics. Its purely a cosmetic facelift, and you don’t have to plug them in if you don’t want to, but as you can see, it sure looks cool when you do! Remote for the lights also included as pictured.
The amp sounds just like you want it to; killer. These were awesome amps and this one is no exception. They didnt put the work into customizing it because it sounds like a turd, thats for sure. This thing rules, as did most any original 5150 you will find.
So if you want to stand out from a crowd, or have something in your Man-Cave that will make your friends jealous, this amp would be a great choice. If you’d rather look at normal black tolex on a 5150, well, go buy another one:)
