1984 Ibanez Destoyer DT380 X-Series Blue & Yellow Tiger Stripe W/Case.

9.1 lbs

Very awesome, and very 80’s vintage Ibanez Destroyer.

This DT380 was only made for a couple of years in 1984-1985.

As you can see, this is a killer example in excellent vintage condition.

All original, it shows a few minor dings here and there as you can see in the pictures, but overall this is an extremely clean piece for its age.

Plays great, with an excellent neck. Frets are in great condition as well.

Comes as pictured with original Ibanez hard case with the bonus option of some vintage stickers on the outside of the case:)

You don’t find these in clean condition very often and the blue and yellow tiger stripe is my personal favorite finish.

The DT380 is a Destroyer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1984.

The DT380 features a Gibson Explorer-style basswood body mated to a set-in maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez V5 humbucking pickups, a Power Rocker synchronized tremolo bridge, knurled metal Tek Grip knobs and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.

For 1985 the bridge was changed to a Pro Rock’r double locking tremolo with a locking nut.

The DT380 was offered with a number of arresting graphic print finishes: a black and white barbed wire, a red and black tiger stripe, a blue and yellow tiger stripe, a red and white rising sun Japanese flag image and a black with diagonal white stripes.

The DT380 was discontinued after 1985.
