2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard Mahogany 3 Pickup Seymour Duncan Limited Edition LP!
Try to find another one of these!
This 2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard Mahogany is in exceptional condition and plays great.
A rare limited edition model only available in ’02, the Standard Mahogany features all mahogany construction including the carved top, mimicking the tone wood platform of a 1950s Les Paul Custom! Factory trio of Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers. As Duncan’s original high output humbucker, the Distortion features a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver full-bodied rock and metal tones with powerful upper mids for extra cut and grind. It’s great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and the lead tones scream with wild harmonics. It also remains tight with low tunings. The all mahogany construction lends a certain warmth and growl to the tone.
The one-piece mahogany neck has a C shaped profile which is more slender at the nut, yet with notable fullness and shoulder up the fretboard. Overall, the profile is more in line with a “60s” shape and the profile shows zero wear, with a bound rosewood fretboard. Kluson-style Gibson Deluxe tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well.
This rare, one-year-only Gibson model has a distinctive look and tone, with a non-weight relieved mahogany body and a rich, singing set of sounds available via the humbucker trio.
A little bit of hazing on the bridge and a few minor surface scratches on the back, but overall this guitar is ridiculously clean for a 17 year old LP!
Comes as pictured with original Gibson Custom Shop case.
