Designed by legendary Bruce Egnator. The Randall MTS RM4 modular tube preamp gives you more than just 4-channel flexibility – you can swap out any or all channels whenever you want! Choose from over a dozen MTS Series preamp modules (sold separately), load up the MTS RM4 chassis, and put your personal stamp on your tone! It’s like having a custom-made, multi-channel rackmounted preamp that can constantly be reconfigured. You also get parallel and series effects loops, MIDI functionality, front/rear panel inputs, and two 12AX7 tubes to buffer the effects loop on the MTS RM4.

Four channels, more possibilities
The MTS RM4 represents a unique approach to “voicing” a preamp. Like an analog version of a digital modeling amp, the MTS RM4 lets you choose channels ranging from pristine clean to absolutely raging, and everything in between. This preamp accomodates up to four separate modules (sold separately – call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for details), each with a pair of 12AX7 tubes, Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble and Master controls, and a bright switch.
Effects loops and MIDI functionality
Randall built the MTS RM4 with the stage in mind. Parallel and series effects loops are included on the preamp, with two 12AX7 tubes to buffer the loop. Patching in effects and other signal processors is a snap with this versatile setup! The MTS RM4 is also MIDI-capable and can use an optional 4-button MIDI-selectable footswitch to access each of the preamp channels independently. The ability to go from vintage clean to modern grind is now at your feet!
