One owner, 1987 Martin HD-28 dreadnaught acoustic in natural.
Exceptional guitar in all original condition. Nothing has ever been changed or altered.
The sound is Enormous all across the strings and projects unbelievably well.
The rosewood back and sides are awesome!
There is a little fretwear around the ‘cowboy chord’ positions, and although it still plays great, a crown and level would not hurt. There is still tons of life left in the frets, however and it is perfectly playable as is.
This guitar could use a set up, the action is slightly high farther up on the neck. Since this model does have a truss rod, adjustments should be able to be made, but as this guitar was owned by the same gentleman for the last 30+ years, it could benefit from some routine maintenance.
The top is exceptional, as is the back, no separating at the seems or anything like that.
Overall, just a very cool example of a vintage HD-28 that has aged very well and has the tone to prove it!
This is probably the best buy you will find on a quality HD-28 from the 80’s, so grab it while you can!
